Random Beacon

A Random Beacon is a specialized blockchain-based random number generator that is used by the Keep Network blockchain protocol to aid in the implementation of its containerization private data model. The Random Beacon employs threshold signatures in conjunction with digital signature relays to select groups of KEEP token holders at random to be network transaction signers. Signers are in charge of generating new Bitcoin (BTC) key pairs, which are then used to generate tBTC tokens. Randomness is essential in developing a secure and hack-resistant technical blockchain architecture.
