Privacy Coin

A privacy coin is a cryptocurrency that is primarily intended to protect the privacy of its users and the underlying network protocol, typically by concealing identity and transaction data during the exchange of crypto assets. Typically, privacy-focused blockchain networks employ Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs) or zk-SNARKs — cryptographic proofs used for concealing information in a cryptographically verifiable manner that is essentially immutable and tamper-proof. Some of the most well-known privacy-focused blockchain systems are Monero, Zcoin, and Zcash.
