Physical Bitcoins

Physical bitcoins are typically physical metal coins (designed to look like Bitcoin) with a private key hidden beneath a tamper-proof sticker or hologram. Physical bitcoins can be purchased pre-loaded with cryptocurrency (or without any). Casascius Coins were the first popular physical coins sold that contained bitcoin (BTC). Other physical coins that support cryptocurrencies, such as Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), can be purchased. Because the recipient now has access to the hidden private key, the physical exchange of these coins is a blockchain transaction. In general, these physical coins are one-time-use and cannot be reused once redeemed.
