Parallel Augur (ParaAug) is a system designed to allow the use of two separate user interfaces (UIs)—two different Augurs—on the Augur platform to allow for various DeFi and prediction market use cases. There is one Augur for ETH (AugurETH) and one for DAI (AugurDAI) (Aug v2). AugurETH is an Augur v2 parallel deployment that supports trading functions and maintains its own order books. The ParaAug infrastructure will also support future Augur Automated Market Maker (AugurAMM), Betting Exchange UI, and Layer-2 or off-chain trading deployments.
