National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC)

The National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) was founded in 1976 as a registered clearing corporation governed by the Securities and Exchange Commission of the United States (SEC). The National Securities Clearing Corporation (NSCC) is a subsidiary of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), which provides clearing, settlement, and risk management services to the United States financial industry. The NSCC also offers multilateral netting, which allows registered brokers to combine buy and sell positions into a single payment obligation, reducing their exposure and financial capital requirements.
