Illuvium Improvement Proposals (IIPs) are a method of facilitating the Illuvium blockchain gaming platform’s blockchain-based governance structure. Through the network-specific ILV token, IIPs enable token holders and network participants to vote on proposed changes to the Illuvium protocol and its underlying architecture. While the governance structure of the Illuvium gaming platform and its underlying systems is similar to that of Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) and other blockchain systems, IIPs use their own distinct mechanisms to achieve a decentralized, equitable governance structure, which includes ongoing modifications to the Illuvium gaming platform and its underlying systems.
