Gas Limit

The computational effort required to send a transaction on the Ethereum network is charged in the form of gas, and the gas limit is the maximum fee that the Ethereum network can charge a user. The gas limit is determined by the transaction’s complexity, the chosen sending speed, and the current level of network congestion at the time the transaction is initiated. Because the Ethereum network is so large, thousands of transactions can be queued and waiting for confirmation, causing network validators to prioritize transactions for users who pay higher gas fees.
