Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT)

DLT refers to a shared database in which transactions and associated details are recorded in multiple locations at the same time. A permissioned network controlled by a central authority is an example of DLT, as is a permissionless network maintained by a decentralized network of nodes without a central authority. Different types of DLT include blockchains and Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs).
