Delegated Byzantine Fault Tolerance (dBFT)

Delegated Byzantine Fault Tolerance (dBFT) is a consensus method developed by NEO as an advanced version of Proof of Stake (PoS). The consensus mechanism is similar to regular Byzantine Fault Tolerance (BFT), except that it employs a methodology in which anyone who meets certain requirements can become a delegate. Delegates are allowed to share and compare proposals with other potential delegates.
