Block Space

Block space is the amount of space available within a specific blockchain block and is typically measured in megabytes (MBs). The amount of block space available is determined by the initial block size of the specific block, which can vary greatly (from 1–32MB, or more). It also depends on how much block space is already occupied. Increased fees and delayed transactions can result from a lack of available block space.
